Forthcoming events

We normally hold our monthly meetings online, on the second Tuesday of every month. We are sorry that this excludes members without internet access. If you would like to join us please ask Gill -- see the Contacts page.

Our stalls take place in the market place in Kingston on the first and third Saturdays of each month from 11am.

We are supporting the regular marches for Palestine held regularly in central London. For details of these see https://palestinecampaign.org/

On Thursday 6th August, we shall remember the dropping of the first atomic bomb, on Hiroshima, on that date in 1945:

(a) Noon to 2pm We shall hold a vigil outside the Bentall Centre in Kingston.

(b) 8pm onwards Our Hiroshima Commemoration will take place beside the river, in Canbury Gardens, attended by the Mayor of Kingston, Cllr Thay Thayalan, and the Deputy Mayor, Cllr Jane Lim. We shall, as usual, strew white flowers onto the Thames as a gesture in remembrance of the souls of the departed.

NOTE: In view of the tinder-dry conditions, we shall not be lighting candles but using battery-controlled lights. Please do not bring anything involving matches or open flames, even in jam-jars.

All are welcome to join us in these commemorations.

On Monday 31st August, from 10.30am-5pm, KPC/CND will have a stall at Carshalton EcoFair, selling items of bric-a-brac, secondhand books and plants.
